Making the most of 4xCharts PDF Print

Simply putting up charts and adding the common indicators is grossly underestimating the capabilities of the ForeXecutor’s charting application. Over the next couple of weeks I am going to introduce you to several of the most powerful parts of 4xCharts.
To get you started today, I am introducing MoneyTrek. Why start here? Because with MoneyTrek you can refine your trading strategy and put other aspects of 4xCharts to work immediately.
Money Trek lets you test ideas with real data, and lets you refine your strategy before even stepping foot in shark infested waters.
To access Money Trek simply go to your 4xCharts and select the MoneyTrek pull down menu, and select MoneyTrek.  When it opens, to get started, make sure you are on the “Challenger” tab.

Once there you are presented with a few options. The first is the “Symbol” you would like to use. This is simply the currency pair you would like to be tested on. You should  typically use one of the currency pairs you plan on trading since strategies work differently for different pairs.

The next is the “Interval” option. Always use the time interval you plan on trading. This will help with overall accuracy of the system.

After the Interval option you can select the number of bars you want to be tested with. The higher the number the more bars will be presented to you.  For instance, if you want to test one week’s worth of hourly data you would need to enter 120. There are 24 bars per day, and 5 days in the trading week.

You can then select the size of your account. This is important because you can also practice money management with MoneyTrek.

Once you have entered the options you want just hit the “Challenge Me” button. When you do, your test chart will appear to the right.

I have seen hundreds of traders with a lot excitement get started in Forex just to 'fizzle". I think 9 out of 10 times it's not because they lose money it's because trading "right" is BORING! This feature takes that away for me. I love being able to test my forex strategy on a 4 hour chart in one hour not 8 weeks. This forex trading software does this for me. Until I find something better I appreciate the heads up of the money trek feature. Keep up the good work!
