This daily chart shows just how indecisive the market is with the pair. Price is almost dead center of a four month old daily trend. RSI is about the same and showing no signs of budging yet. I remember waiting around one afternoon for my five year old daughter to decide what kind of ice cream she wanted. The decision was monumentally important to her. I just wanted back into the house and the A/C. Standing next to an ice cream truck in the middle of a 101 degree afternoon with the heat from the motor coming up from the underside, was not what I would call enjoyable. Once the purchase was made, and I was back in the safety of the cool basement, my daughter proceeded to disassemble the ice cream cone. At least that’s what it looked like, because I thought I could see at least twenty five percent on her face, another forty percent on her clothes, ten or so percent on the floor, furniture and walls. I had eaten about twenty percent (her tax for using my money to get what she wanted). That left about five percent for actual consumption. She’s seventeen now and eats about the same, but now it’s not bad parenting to leave the room when she’s eating. I still remember those few moments. I imagine it will be the same for the EUR/USD. There are probably a lot of accounts being made a mess of with all the indecision and a few false breakouts. In a few months we’ll look back and wonder how we ever made it though those months. If you haven’t been taking yourself too seriously, you’ll have some good memories and not too few laughs about it.
