| Using Named Line Alerts |
Several months ago I showed you how to use the named line entry and alert. As it turns out this is becoming an integral part of my trading now. It alerts me to many of the trades I need to set up and many of the trades that I am looking at. Because so many of the set ups I am looking at use an ascending or descending line, a flat line won’t work as well.![]() All I have to do is name the line and when price crosses it and closes on the other side of it, an alert is sent to me. Both my email and phone can receive this message. Here is an example of an alert I used last night to notify me of a trade set up. ![]() If you want to, you can also set it to alert you of a trade that needs to be closed. You just have to name the line differently. If you want to use this alert, just get a hold of Jake or I and we can send that script over to you. Remember this is good for any support and Resistance trading you might be doing not just the type I am doing. Remember though that you should always test the script to make sure it is performing the way you want it to before trading with it. There is always the change that during trading situations I will not perform as intended.
