The metaphors are many for what happened last night. The Red Sox were down in the final three innings of the ALCS Championship by seven runs. Fans were leaving the stadium in droves, having given up on their team. The players on the other hand had not conceded defeat yet. They hung in there and gave their all to the sport they love. The thought may have crossed their minds that the game was over, but their play never showed it. The fans on the other hand had. By the end of the 7th the stand were emptying out. Beside the usual “Never give up” metaphor, how are these. Nothing comes without sacrifice. Success isn’t always easy. Patience pays, We can’t always have everything handed to us on a silver platter. The fans that hung around and continued to support the team will be the few to be able to say “I was there” The fakers, those that left early, will be able to say they were there too, knowing full well it’s only half true. All those snippets above can be applied to trading currencies as well. When you get handed a loss, go on, there’s a winner out there waiting for you, you just have to be there to take it. If you get up and leave the ball park, are you ever going to come back from seven runs down? Don’t think so!
